Staying on the shores of Lake Annecy
Hotels & Palaces

Lake Annecy is as much discovered as it is lived. Between the ever-changing reflections of its waters and the tranquil presence of the surrounding mountains, time takes on a different rhythm. On foot, by bike, on the water, or from a terrace overlooking the lake, each season reveals its own light and pace. Staying by the lake is also an opportunity to unwind — to enjoy the lakeside, a spa, or a fine dining experience.
Here is a selection of hotels designed for those moments when one simply needs to slow down.
Impérial Palace**** – Annecy
Set by the lake since 1913, the Impérial Palace carries within it more than a century of stories. This four-star hotel has preserved the soul of the Belle Époque palaces while offering modern comfort. Its 90 rooms and 12 contemporary suites overlook the park, the city, or the lake. The location is remarkable: just a few minutes’ walk from the town center, in the heart of a lush park.
Guests come for the gourmet restaurant La Table de l’Impérial, for the Salon and its jazz atmosphere, or for the Cristal Spa with its indoor pool, sauna, and hammam. The hotel also houses a casino and a convention center.
It is a place that lives year-round — festivals, concerts, and shows keep its spirit vibrant. The Impérial knows how to host, with that particular attention that makes one feel truly welcome.

Rivage Hôtel & Spa**** – Annecy-le-Vieux
Opened in 2021, the Rivage Hôtel & Spa brought a luminous sense of modernity to the lakeshore. Its contemporary architecture plays with transparency and natural light. Each floor explores a theme — plants, water, minerals — reflected in the design of its 123 rooms and suites. Large bay windows frame views of the lake and Mont Veyrier.
The 1,000 m² NUXE spa is one of the hotel’s highlights: an indoor pool with lake views, sauna, hammam, cold bath, yoga room, and fitness area — a true temple of well-being.
At LÔNA, chef Juan Arbelaéz crafts seasonal cuisine celebrating local producers. The terrace extends naturally over the lake. The atmosphere is relaxed, the welcome warm.

Palace de Menthon***** – Menthon-Saint-Bernard
Since 1906, the Palace de Menthon has stood proudly on the lakeshore, surrounded by six hectares of private parkland. Founded by two brothers — one a chef, the other a maître d’hôtel — it became a family institution in 1924. Now part of the Lavorel Hotels collection, this five-star palace gracefully bridges past and present.
Its 60 rooms and suites, including a private lakeside villa, open onto sweeping views of the lake and mountains. A panoramic restaurant, elegant bar, private beach with pier, and Sothys spa with heated indoor pool, hammam, and treatment rooms complete the experience.

Auberge du Père Bise ***** – Baie de Talloires
In Talloires Bay, the Auberge du Père Bise is a legendary address. Since 1903, this house has seen generations pass through its doors. In 2016, Jean and Magali Sulpice took up the mantle, intent on continuing its story without erasing its soul.
A member of Relais & Châteaux since 1973, the auberge features 22 rooms and suites in soft natural tones — celadon, forest green, lichen — all facing the lake, the bay, or the Roc de Chère. A private pier and direct lake access are part of the daily rhythm here.
At the two-Michelin-starred restaurant, Jean Sulpice offers a cuisine rooted in the territory — lake fish, game from nearby forests, wild herbs — each dish a reflection of place. The second restaurant, Le 1903, serves a more accessible yet equally generous menu.
The spa, with its panoramic indoor pool, outdoor Nordic bath, sauna, and hammam, completes the experience. Here, one feels welcomed like a guest in a family home.

La Maison Bleue – Yoann Conte ***** – Veyrier-du-Lac
The blue façade that gives its name to this early 20th-century house stands out beautifully against the lake. In 2010, Yoann and Élodie Conte took over this iconic address — once Marc Veyrat’s — to write their own story.
Part of Relais & Châteaux, La Maison Bleue offers 11 rooms, all with lake views. The design combines chalet spirit with contemporary simplicity: light wood, natural tones, and a calm aesthetic. Every balcony opens onto the lake’s deep blue.
The two-Michelin-starred Table de Yoann Conte celebrates the seasons with refined simplicity, while Le Roc, the second restaurant, offers a more direct, produce-driven cuisine highlighting local artisans.
A lakeside sauna and Norwegian bath extend the sense of calm, and the private access to the water invites a swim. Nothing here is ostentatious — everything lies in the details.

Chef Sacha Clapeyron’s bistronomic restaurant highlights locally farmed fish with creative flair. The Sothys spa, with indoor and outdoor pools, sauna, and hammam, ensures total relaxation.
With direct access to the lakeside cycling path and a 6,000 m² landscaped terrace, the Black Bass is a place to live at your own rhythm.
