From 9 to 15 June 2024, the city of Annecy will open its doors to the world to host the animation industry's flagship event: the Animation Festival. This not-to-be-missed event for enthusiasts and experts in the field promises a week of total immersion in the diversity and creativity of animation, while celebrating the cultural richness of Portugal.
Since 1960, Annecy has firmly established itself as the world's animation capital, attracting thousands of professionals and enthusiasts each year to celebrate the art and innovation of animation.
The Annecy 2024 Animation Festival offers a rich and varied programme, with open-air screenings on the Pâquier, privileged encounters with renowned directors, conferences exploring the latest trends in animation, exhibitions, signing sessions and a host of events enabling participants to meet the creators and share convivial moments.
Under the marquees of the International Animation Film Market, producers and broadcasters from all over the world will gather to discover the latest releases and explore new collaborations.
As every year, the festival will be the setting for an international competition in which works of all nationalities will compete for the title of best animated film of the year, as well as numerous prizes.
To take part in this event, buy your tickets for screenings at partner cinemas or via the General Public Pass. Open-air screenings on the Pâquier are free and open to all without prior booking. For workshops, you are advised to book by emailing info@annecysanime.com.
