Venetian Carnival Annecy

Each winter, Annecy reconnects with the timeless elegance of Venice during the Venetian Carnival. From February 27 to March 1, the town takes on a distinctive atmosphere, where elaborate costumes and delicately crafted masks create a moment suspended in time.

Since 1996, this now unmissable event has taken place in its most emblematic settings: the Jardins de l’Europe, Le Pâquier, the canals of the old town and the lakeside promenades. Within this naturally evocative architectural backdrop, costumed figures move gracefully, offering visitors a truly poetic spectacle.

Beyond the parades, the programme is enriched by screenings and conferences dedicated to Venetian tradition, providing deeper insight into its historical and cultural significance.
