Celebrating 30 years of the Platini Art Gallery

Annecy Sotheby's International Realty is delighted to be associated with the 30th anniversary of the Galerie d'Art Platini, a not-to-be-missed event for contemporary art lovers. This major event will be held on 5 and 6 October 2024 in Veyrier-du-Lac, in the heart of an exceptional setting where art and nature meet.

For two days, visitors will be invited to wander along a unique artistic trail. This visual journey will give visitors the chance to discover or rediscover Veyrier-du-Lac from a new perspective, through contemporary works exhibited in emblematic locations such as the Domaine de la Croix des Champs, the Belvédère de la Mairie and the beaches of the Brune. The walk will begin at the Galerie Platini, the starting point for an immersive experience, where each stage will reveal a new facet of the art world.

Live artistic performances

Among the highlights of the weekend, don't miss performances by Jürgen Lingl, who will impress you with his chainsaw sculpture, and Gordon Hopkins, who will breathe life into his vibrant canvases before your very eyes. Béatrice Terra, meanwhile, will plunge you into her artistic universe through her live sketches, where gesture and movement capture the moment. These performances promise to offer a moment of intimacy with artistic creation, revealing rare and fascinating techniques.

Lectures, masterclasses and interactive workshops

This weekend will also be an opportunity to expand your knowledge thanks to a rich programme of lectures and masterclasses. Discover the secrets of sculpture at the Candide foundry, or explore the advantages of art leasing, an innovative approach for professionals wishing to surround themselves with exceptional works of art. 

Photography enthusiasts can look forward to an enriching discussion with Nicolas Orillard-Demaire and Régis Dérimay, who will share behind-the-scenes insights into their collaboration and the subtleties of fine art printing. A round table on animated film, moderated by Valérie Hadida and Guillaume Ivernel, will offer a fascinating insight into the creative process of animated film.

For younger children, fun workshops run by Arts 2000 will introduce them to different artistic techniques, such as charcoal drawing and oil painting in stick form, offering an enriching and creative experience.

Exclusive meetings with the artists

Visitors will also have the opportunity to talk directly with the artists at signing sessions and other privileged moments of exchange. Renowned artists such as Jim Drouet, Sophie Verger, Louis Treserras and many others will be on hand to discuss their work and their artistic approach.
