Santa's Castle in Menthon-Saint-Bernard

As the year draws to a close, the Château de Menthon-Saint-Bernard, an undisputed jewel overlooking Lake Annecy, is getting ready to welcome Father Christmas and his elves for the third edition of the magical "Santa's Castle" event. 

The emblematic Christmas tree, enthroned at the entrance to the castle with its imposing 9-metre height, reveals all its splendour, meticulously decorated by pupils from the surrounding schools. It's the first glimpse of what promises to be a grandiose event.

In contrast to its traditional winter closure, the Château de Menthon-Saint-Bernard is dressing up in its finest to offer an unforgettable experience for children and their families. Gardens, courtyards, alleys and rooms are all lit up, creating a magical atmosphere that will enchant young and old alike.

The programme for this exceptional event includes a Christmas market packed with talented craftspeople, a varied artistic programme for all the family, including events, creative workshops, original treasure hunts, an ice rink for skating fans, a guinguette for convivial moments, a varied culinary offer and, of course, tours of the château to reveal its secrets and history.

From 17 November 2023 to 6 January 2024, Santa's Castle will open its doors to you every day from 11am to 11pm, inviting everyone to take part in creating precious moments of sharing. Christmas, synonymous with warmth and conviviality, finds its perfect setting in this festive gathering.
